Suffice it to say that I had, indeed, never heard about this 2022 movie titled "Rolling Into Christmas" from writer Gregory Ramon Anderson and director Trey Haley prior to sitting down and watching it. And I had initially expected that I was in for a Christmas movie, given the movie's title.
Instead I was in for a family drama and a movie that was pretty devoid of anything even remotely in the spirit of Christmas. So it was a disappointing swing and a miss from writer Gregory Ramon Anderson. I was not the least bit entertained by the storyline presented in the movie, and it was a struggle to sit through the bland and pointless narrative.
Of the entire cast ensemble, I was only familiar with actor Gary Dourdan. I will say that the acting performances in the movie were fair, despite the fact that the storyline failed to entertain me.
"Rolling Into Christmas" is not a movie that I would recommend for fans of Christmas movies to waste 96 minutes on watching. It didn't have that particular Christmas spirit or sparkle that you would expect from a typical Christmas movie.
How this movie have landed a 5.9 rating here on IMDb, in this very moment as I am writing this review, is simply beyond my comprehension.
My rating of director Trey Haley's 2022 movie "Rolling Into Christmas" lands on a two out of ten stars.
