Dark, stylish, disturbing... it's Gotham!

Amazing stylish cartoon-like live action short film about Batman and some batvillains, spoken in French. Visual style is unique as it emulates graphic novels in a way perhaps even "Sin City" does not. The story also deviates from the most obvious, as the main characters are ordinary rogues, who face Gotham City "bad guys" and "dark hero" as challenges too powerful to deal with. The two most classic batvillains and the Batman himself are depicted very dark and in an original way but true to the characters. Harlene Quinzelle, on the other hand, is super sexy and crazy. This is a film for adults, and the clown sex scene is very disturbing. In my opinion, "Ashes to Ashes" is one of the two best non official Batman movies and Batman short films, together with "City of Scars", even better than famous "Dead End".
