Asleep in My Palm

In modest but excellently done character drama "Asleep In My Palm" bright but troubled US Army veteran Tim Blake Nelson lives on the outskirts of society with 16yr old daughter Chloë Kerwin, eeking a feral existence through petty crime (with the likes of Jared Abrahamson) while educating her on his life philopsophy. In his debut as writer and director Nelson's son Henry Nelson elicits outstanding performances from the three aforementioneds (and support players like Grant Harvey) while writing with intelligence, twist & punch. It may not be one for the adrenaline junkies but this is a terrific film. Props indeed to all involved, but especially to The Nelsons.
