As odd and misplaced this feature may be, a harsh 1 star out of 10 is a bit cruel and low. This feature has a lot of heart and soul and deserves a 6 to 7 stars rating.
Director Geno McGahee comes from doing horror movies and what a stretch into the holiday drama/comedy genre.
His characters are likable, he's got great lighting and wonderful actors. And you can tell the actors loved and believed in the project. All actors have a wonderful stage/theater presence. This story would be a wonderful play and theater production!
You got to love family fights on the holidays. This family all distance themselves from their past dramas.
I was very impressed with the main setting in the small, pristine and unique house. The house itself was also a great character and what a fun way to cram those characters in.
My only concerns is the movie was 20 minuets way too long and timing was off. So the movie did drag here and there. But it looked like a fun production. Me being an independent filmmaker my self I totally understand productions. When you have a likable cast and crew there is so magic in making movies. So I am not here to slander this film but praise it. It's never easy making movies.
Doing stories like this takes a lot heart and soul and this movie 100% shows it. Cheers & happy Christmas to the fun cast and crew. Congrats!
