Two things - First don't expect historical authenticity from the show .. And second don't expect a lot of depth from the story ..
But if you watch the show solely for entertainment, it is a fantastic series .I watched it in one sitting , that is how addictive it is .The characters , interpersonal relationships and the drama was very soap opera like and very engaging .There wasn't a dull moment in the show .. Also the visuals though not mounted on a grand scale look very authentic .
Also the treatment of the story is different from what we are used to seeing in Indian historical dramas and this is when I realized the writers are not Indian ..
The show overall is fresh and a must watch , especially for people who like edge of the seat historical thrillers .
Now can't wait for the second season .
