The series began when Villalobos was in California. Midway through the series, Villalobos moved to New Orleans, Louisiana when they were forced to leave through rezoning and opposition from locals; they had helped in NOLA after Hurricane Katrina, and so chose to relocate there to continue their work.

Great show

I have been watching this show off and on and I like how she and her kids care for the Bit Bulls and helping parolees. I hope they resucue animals for a long time
