Coming from me as praise rather than a slur, Stuart Canterbury directs the most old-fashioned of Penthouse videos, generally working through a continuous storyline rather than vignettes or all-sex as has become the custom.
His "Trophy Wife" opus is well-cast and maintains the interest in its basic, title premise. Kiara Diane, a beauty and talented actress who definitely belongs in the "Underappreciated" column, has the central title role as Tess, a model photographed by Rocco Reed, who becomes involved with rich cad Steven St. Croix. A marriage of convenience results.

Yes, within the porn genre it is still possible to whip up some wistful "might have been" emotions one associates with a "real film".
