The Punisher: Creating the Look

Well this doesn't overstay its welcome. This is the shortest featurette on the DVD of Punisher: War Zone, with a running time of 2 minutes and 20 seconds, or 40 with credits. Nope, you read that right. In fact, I'm not sure I've come across a briefer one of these on any disc, and I always watch these when I have a chance. The thing is, it really only has one thing to communicate, and that's the process they went through, determining how colorful(and which ones to use) they were going to make the film, and what they ended up deciding. As a matter of fact, I won't tell you either of those, because I'd be giving it all away. There are no spoilers in this, by the way. It consists of interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and clips of the movie. They talk about the opportunities and how strictly they stuck to what they settled on. It's nice that there is no lovefest going on in this(well, arguably there is one instance of it... the line about how the fans will get to see Garth Ennis style action with the titular character. Then again, that is entirely true). There is a bit of disturbing content and bloody, brutal, gory violence in this. I recommend this to anyone who liked the picture itself. 7/10
