So many revelations in this - and I am not even talking about story or twist developments. I mean the actors that turn up in this. Yes Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes are the ones that get the biggest spotlight and highlight - but you have so many great people in this. Seeing Billy Zane having as much fun as he can have with the character he portrays is just amazing. Reminds you of how of an actor he is. And the charisma he is still able to produce and the screen presence that really sucks you in.
But while I could go on and on about him - there is also Theo Rossi. And Chris Diamantopoulos and so forth and so forth. So you can guess I am a fan. Of the actors but also the performances and the characters they put on screen. Then there is the story and the twists. Now I would say that one big twist (that is revealed fully at the end of episode 6) is one that many might guess. Sooner or later - I can say it was sooner for me. Nevertheless, the show has so many other twists and turns, that it doesn't matter if you or when you figure that one out.
There are some inside jokes in this too - be it about multiverses (or cinematic unvierses) or about political correctness and how it is used. There also is a lot to be said about the connection of stars/celebrities and their fans. Not always an easy connection - not always a fruitful relationship.
Yes famous people are just that - people and humans too. Kevin Harts character makes the point verbally too, in case you missed all the other hints before that. There is so much goodness and a bit of violence at times (a lot of swearing too, with one scene of sexuality if you can call it that) - but it really is rather kept at a minumum. With big spikes when necessary. I only mention if for those who rather don't want to be surprised and offended by such scenes and vivid imagery.
But if you can stomach it, the movie is more than rewarding as I already pointed out - great writing, acting and directing.
