Afro Samurai

The game is beautiful but plays like mud. The sword action has no weight to it. The hits you land don't have any impact until there's limb loss, and even then it's just not as satisfying as something like Ninja Gaiden.

The story is flimsy and slow.

The soundtrack is repetitive in a bad way and gets boring very quickly. It's only good when the hip hop tracks are played, which isn't often enough.

It's unclear where to go, even with a guide.

You can't change the options when paused. What!?! I know; it's unbelievable. Am I playing PS1? Sad.

I thought I could power through Afro Samurai but no. It's just... lame. Boring. Repetitive in the worst ways. Not engaging. Sad disappointment for such a gorgeous looking game.

Samuel L Jackson isn't enough to save this sludgefest.
