The production used test drone footage in Regina, Saskatchewan during principal photography in December 2020 and planned to re-shoot when there was more snow on the ground. With a lack of snow during the winter, the VFX team at Rafni FX had to add digital snow to the ground to cheat the North Pole scenes.
