The status of the movie itself is questionable. In 2016, Mike Myers confirmed the movie's filming arrangement was done but that directing was slow due to his obligation to being a parent. As of 2019, director Jay Roach said he was "still interested" in making the movie hinting the movie may be in development hell or hit some kind of snag in funding.
