The film was originally set to have its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 14, 2020. However, the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the beginning of the film, Jane visits Amy at her house and offers her a glass of water with a few ice cubes. In the next scene the ice cubes have multiplied in the glass.
