Life is silence, we are the ones who make noise in it

Having a life as a side effect of other people's decisions, or carrying the weight of your own decisions, however dire they may seem? What is better? What is easier?

The film has the quality of not giving easy answers to these questions. Another quality is not presenting a romanticized view of parenthood and severe autism.

In a year when a movie like Coda won best picture, like a remake of The Bélier Family, it's impressive that this movie has stayed under the radar. When the protagonist is asked, already in the final moments of the film, if he thinks that life has been very unfair to him, he replies that "life is silence, we are the ones who make noise in it".
