A Date with Leonidas

Special Branch spend time with London's Greek Cypriot community.

Alex Leonidas has turned up to London airport to get married but his name is flagged.

His father was a terrorist who was hanged by the British some years ago. A young Alex had vowed revenge on the arresting officer, who now works with the police.

With the officer put on paid leave and under police protection. Special Branch need to find out if Alex really is interested in getting married or is revenge on the menu.

There was an element of the finale of The Godfather as DC Morrissey thinks there is a suspicious package with is intercut with the wedding ceremony. Only Coppola's epic would be made in 1972. So some visual flair is shown here that has been too often been missing in this series.

There is also a cunning ruse used by Detective Supt Eden which is more effective than Jordan's blunt threats.
