I saw this movie when it was released at the International Film Festival in Hawaii. The story is about children who experienced the Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake which occurred in 1995. I remember it being equal to "The Grave of the Fireflies" in the way it stirred my emotions. I was surprised when "The Grave of the Fireflies" showed more commercial success, in being released on DVD in America, than this movie. The Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake was an extremely tragic event in Japan. I thought that this movie captured the emotions of those caught in the tragedy very well. Especially from the point of view it was from, from the eyes of the children. I do not want to spoil anything for those who have not yet seen this movie, so I won't go any further into detail. I know this movie might be hard to find, but please take the time. You might enjoy it.
