This was one of the better made Filipino movies I've seen. The story is tight and acting controlled, a characteristics that's not shared with some other Filipino movies.
I also liked the actors in this movie too. They were attractive, and deliver the story in a convincing way. The extras also gave the authentic feel of local life in the Philippines. Production was beautiful as well.
The story like this usually end up tragic. This is true in real life too, so I don't think young people should get the wrong idea that story like this is really romantic. There are enough young mothers with kids that has no father in the Philippines already.
The interest is bit too local too. I think there are bigger problems than the domestic life at hand which is evident when you see the environment shown in this movie. The movie was made for the local market, so it's not surprising that many of the things that happens in this movie appears incongruous to audience outside of the Philippines.
In the end the girl makes the right choice. Thumbs up for her action. I hope all women stays away from relation like this in the Philippines.
