Caos

What a wicked gem of a movie! 'Chaos' occurs when a middle-aged Parisian couple driving home from a party become witnesses a young prostitute getting beat up by a band of thugs. They eventually drive off but a connection has been made--the wife will inquire with the hospital and a secret partnership ensues, leading 'Chaos' to a series of chance meetings and conspiracy. If you loved "Thelma and Louise," you'll especially enjoy this one, I believe.

It's hard to write a proper review of the movie because so much about it is in the action--high-octane action, that is; combined with real emotion, lots of laughter and a close-up look at the upper-class Parisian lifestyle. 'Chaos' has a 'reality' flair to it, aided in large part by the fact that it was shot in digital format; this is what helps make it such a poignant film in the end. Very real performance by newcomer Rachida Brakhni. Veterans Coline Serreau and Vincent Lindon are right on point with theirs, as always.

'Chaos' was so unexpected for me. It's one of my favorite movies of the last few years.
