Screenwriters Carlo and Enrico Vanzina left production company Medusa after Sapore di mare (1983), so the script of its sequel was assigned to Carlo Vanzina's former assistant Bruno Cortini. Anyway, the Vanzina brothers are still credited among the screenwriters of this movie because some unused shots of the first movie were added to the final cut.
