So many jumbled-up dramatic and plot elements taken from Hitchcock's 'Suspicion' (1941) that it has to be deliberate: including heavy visual emphasis on the supposedly-poisoned drink, and the (supposed) killer's 'Funny-face' nickname for his victim.

The killer somehow got a CAR into a swimming pool that appeared to be accessible only on foot and by a narrow covered pathway. Nonsense.

A remake of "Suspicion"....???

This film is either a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's film Suspicion, starring Joan Fontaine, Cary Grant and Nigel Bruce, or else has merely borrowed heavily from the plot. Many of the scenes are similar, (even the husband's nickname for his wife is the same) The ending is darker though.
