Kabir Bedi had got the producer's of the film to sign Parveen Babi for the lead role. One week before the shooting started, Parveen Babi ran off to India without informing anyone. Kabir took the full blame for this. He later said the movie was a disaster due to the leading lady who eventually replaced Parveen Babi.

Similar to the TV series but less compelling

All the actors and the plot are very similar to what you see in the previous year's TV series which was really great and remained famous in the history of cinema. Scenography and action are always very beautiful. The director is also good but the actors and the plot lack something, and therefore it is often very repetitive.
