Mixed up timeline

While the sets and male costumes are typical of western movies set circa 1880s or 1890s, (with a nod to Roy Rogers, Lucky's horse is a double for Trigger when first visits the Collins homestead ) the year being depicted is confusing. All transport is horse powered, wagons, stagecoach etc, with no motorized transport shown. However the length of the ladies dresses are just below the knee and reminiscent of 1930s. Also there is a telephone on the wardens desk.
