Erros de gravação
At the Ambassador's Ball, the orchestra is playing 'Falling in Love Again' from The Blue Angel. This scene is set in 1929 or earlier, as there is a title which moves the action two years on after this, and The Vice Squad was released in 1931. 'Falling in Love Again' did not become well-known as a hit song until 1930.

Some raw pre-code material, but mostly it's a dud

What begins as a provocative exposè of vice squad methods (circa 1930s America) turns into the tiresome story of a drunk "stool pigeon" seeking redemption through the love of a pure girl. Paul Lukas lacks magnetism (and I have come to the conclusion that drunk people in films are so boring to watch), the direction lacks dynamism, and Kay Francis is wasted. *1/2 out of 4.
