It is strange to see such a high score for this TV show. If it can be called a TV show at all. I watched an interview with the creator of the series and he was making the comparison to big international names saying it was a step forward for Chilean dramas. It is not. At all.
I am not a stranger to Chilean soap operas (or soap operas in general) as well as international TV shows. The first mistake on this TV show lies on its overall tone, it is trying to set itself as a "dark" production, with themes of murder but it fails by constantly adding the typical cheesy scenes of romance and comedy common in Chilean soap operas (that derive from their brazilian counterparts, though most of the times brazilians do it right). As if this wasn't bad enough already, the story is incredibly predictable and adds nothing to the table, it's not subversive enough. It tries to paint the character portrayed by Álvaro Espinoza as a psychopath but not only does the actor absolutely falls flat in terms of his range but the relationships he has with other characters, the situations he gets in and the way the character is presented do not give off any eerie feelings at all. Compare this to the way "Mindhunter" the Netflix production does it, a difference as clear as day and night. Even other shows like "Dexter" do it much better.
Now, I have already touched on the acting, I want to congratulate Ignacia Baeza for being the best performer on the show. Her character, the wife of the so-called psychopath presents a good transformation (that comes a little too quickly considering the duration of the show, which is around 100 fourty minute episodes). It is refreshing to see her acting when surrounding her everything feels extremely cheap. Nestor Cantillana puts on a decent show. And some of the young actors are fine as well. The rest of the cast, specially the main male cast cannot convey the tone and seriousness of the scenes with their overly exaggerated representations. One glaring example of this is Tamara Acosta, she has absolutely no range whatsoever and it is so disappointing to see after her very good performance on "Los 80", which I might add, was much better than this one. I was extremely disappointed to see her acting in this and it might just show how tiring shooting something like this must be. It's not for everyone, it's most definitely not for her. In any case most good chileans actors are now a days working out of the country or in the film industry.
As the series finishes there are some scenes that are borderline comedic in their direction, a slow motion gun shot? Several times? Watching one of the worst actors on the cast trying to pull "i'm being shot" faces in slow motion is simply ridiculous. If you can catch this scene on youtube you will get an idea on how bad this soap opera was.
It's not worth anyone's time, really.
