Excellent Movie - until the ending which fell flat

Magnificent acting. The actors were very convincing in their roles, and even the minor actors played their parts well. Excellent camera work and set locations. I enjoyed the movie immensely , but... the ending of the movie appeared flat. The ending just did not seem right. Seemed there was more to the plot that was not told. Seemed to just end abruptly. This is one of the better Russian movies made.
