The fictional show is referred to as a cult classic that was eventually cancelled due to the main character leaving the show. When asked why it didn't survive, Sam comically replies that it never fully recovered once the lead character left, making it hard for the fans to like the show- ultimately causing its cancellation. This may be a playful reference to the hit series The O.C, which also starred Bilson and was cancelled shortly after the main character, Mischa Barton, decided to leave the show.

A Blast From The Past

No spoilers here. An excellent episode in general. As you can see in the storyline Sam & Eddie get involved in a case in which Sam started her acting career.

Very well acted, written & directed.

Definitely recommended.
