The mermaid tails were six feet long and weighed over fifty pounds. According to Agnieszka Smoczynska, they were designed to look "repulsive" and different from depictions like Splash: Uma Sereia em Minha Vida (1984) or H2O: Meninas Sereias (2006).

Cenas durante ou pós-créditos
The opening credit sequence is an animation by the painter Aleksandra Waliszewska, known for her nightmare-inducing takes on fairy-tale characters-our first indication that we are in waters far from Disney. Skulls bob around the mermaid sisters as they swim sinuously about their aquatic serial killers' den, their sweet singing voices and long gold and raven locks in stark contrast to their grim surroundings.

A weird horror movie, but fitting because the monster is a mermaid.

Two mermaids end up in Poland to work at an adult night club. One begins to have feelings for a man which is a no no as humans are nothing but food to be eaten. Something the other fish lady understands too well.

It could have been more horrifying but the level of strange was too up there for that. It was like the only knowledge the polish had of these mythical creatures came form the Disney version of the Little Mermaid as they're was a lot of singing and dancing that pops out of no where.

It was like a strange acid trip that was more humorous that horrifying, lying somewhere between the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Sweeney Todd.

It has it's grotesque moments and acts as a modern day Grimm fairy tale. A very enjoyable strangle unique experience.

I like it.
