The process took about 3 years to make it to pilot. Original casting calls were placed in June of 2013 and show runner Tim Biasi had a cast shortly thereafter, but didn't get into filming of the trailer for season one for the unsuccessful first attempt at Kickstarter until April of 2014. Once that failed, he went back to the drawing board and did substantial rewrites to the pilot and had to recast 3 actors and filmed the pilot in June of 2016.
