Every creative has to overcome the Muse fallacy. The writer has to write from conscientious habit; not lighting candles and waiting for Calliope to arrive. Picasso said it best, "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." And more than anything, go easy on yourself. Look to nurture that creative voice within yourself the same way you would call out to a child... because that's exactly what your doing; coaxing the little you that never imagined it wasn't good enough to dream and create in the first place.
