Alex Ruger is a composer based in Los Angeles. Upon graduating from Berklee College of Music and moving to Los Angeles, Alex began his career by apprenticing under Inon Zur (Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls: Blades), Danny Elfman (Batman, The Simpsons), David Carbonara (Mad Men, The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe), and Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL (Mad Max: Fury Road, Alita: Battle Angel).
Alex has since worked with companies such as Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions on Death Stranding (PS4, PC), and Bandai Namco on Jump Force (PS4, Xbox One, PC).
Alex is known for uniquely blending his deep knowledge of diverse genres and instrumentation, sound manipulation techniques, and command of technology - allowing the tools and influences to disappear under the banner of expressing the project's emotional core and telling its story.
