Whitney Duff is a Brisbane based actor, model and fire performer.
Whitney is a QUT Drama graduate and since graduating in 2008 has been working between Brisbane and Melbourne, Australia building on her acting credits and gaining valuable skills and experience in the film and theatre industry.
Since moving to Melbourne in 2008 Miss Duff's training has included Suzuki Physical Theatre with Zen Zen Zo, dance with The Space and the company Stilletto Entertainment, singing with Soundworks Music Studio and Krav Maga Martial Arts training at Guardian Defence. She has also completed Level 1 Certificates in both Firearms Training and Martial Arts & Fight Choreography for Film & TV with Digger Tactical. Over the last 2 years Whitney has completed Acting Masterclasses with La Boite Theatre Company, The Factory and The Actors Studio. Alongside these classes she participated in workshops with McSweeney Newman Casting and more recently with Chicken and Chips Casting.
Whitney Duff has been very fortunate obtaining lead roles in independent feature films, short films, theatre, TV Commercials and music videos. The highlights include her first feature film Tin God which toured in 2011 to Cannes Film Festival. In 2012 Broken Superman saw Whitney in another lead role and won Best Short Film at Connect Film Festival. Miss Duff was nominated in 2015 for Best Actress in Mirror of Filth at Melbourne Underground Film Festival and the following year won Best Actress at the same festival for the feature film Sheborg Massacre. Through Strongman Pictures Entertainment Whitney went to LA in 2016 in order to promote Sheborg Massacre which then gained international distribution. She worked as a lead actor in 2016 on the independent feature film Blue Grace and then again that New Year for Friends, Foes and Fireworks. Through Nexus Production Group this improvised feature film was shot over 1 night and had a cinema run in both Melbourne and Malta in 2018. Whitney Duff joined forces again with Strongman Pictures Entertainment in 2018 in a support role for the feature film Nova Star. Whitney Duff is looking forward to 2020 and working with the team at Nexus Production Group once again on another feature film.
Whitney Duff continues to learn new skills and relishes in any medium that is raw or somewhat confronting and which contributes to her versatility as a strong female actress. She has performed for events and Speak Easy's as a Burlesque and fire performer. Whitney performed her own stunts in Sheborg Massacre and has continued training in martial arts. Whitney has also started teaching young people acting as her aim is to encourage creative and authentic living in the generations to follow.
