Andre Martin(III)

Andre Martin (born André Roger Martin) is a French-American actor, known for A Escada (2022), A Rainha do Sul (2016) and American Crime (2015). His childhood was split between Chicago and Eauze, a small town in the southwest of France recognized as the capital of Armagnac.
Andre received his MFA in Acting (2007) with a focus on classical theatre under the tutelage of Jewel Walker and Sanford Robbins at the University of Delaware's Professional Theatre Training Program. Upon graduation, Andre moved to Los Angeles and could be seen every summer performing with the Independent Shakespeare Company at the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival. Notable roles include Mercutio in "Romeo & Juliet", the title role in "Pericles", Don Armado in "Love's Labour's Lost", Sir Andrew Aguecheek in "Twelfth Night" and Laertes opposite David Melville's "Hamlet".
Andre met his wife, Jenny Lavery, artistic director of the award-winning Theatre en Bloc, while performing the role of A. E. Housman in Tom Stoppard's "The Invention of Love" with Austin Shakespeare. After moving to Austin, Andre has appeared at ZACH Theatre in numerous productions such as Mr. Wormwood in "Matilda the Musical", Roger in "Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time", Alan Dangle in "One Man, Two Guvnors", Everett K Olson in "The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity" and most recently as Garry Lejeune in "Noises Off". In the summer of 2024, Andre will return to ZACH Theatre as Don Kirshner in "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical".
His most recent television credits include the Tastemaker in USA Network's A Rainha do Sul (2016), Coach Bobby in The CW's Walker (2021) and Todd in ABC's American Crime (2015) (directed by John Ridley).
In 2021, Andre wrapped filming the role of Yves in HBO Max's star-studded limited series A Escada (2022) co-starring Colin Firth, Toni Collette, Parker Posey and Juliette Binoche (directed by Antonio Campos).
