Marat's father Kurban is a renowned football manager who led his team "Rubin Kazan" to two back-to-back Russian Premier League titles and famously beat Guardiola's Barcelona at Camp Nou in Champions League. As a child, Marat traveled extensively following his father, who played for different football teams in Russia and different parts of Asia.
