VonAllmen is also a comic book writer. Having independently published a creator-owned title to critical success, he was hired to write a story for Marvel Comics about his favorite character, the X-Men arch-nemesis Magneto.
Ran three marathons while still in high school, including the Boston
Marathon his senior year.
A bicycle racer in college, Von Allmen is the only person in collegiate
cycling history to win a National Championship gold medal in all three
disciplines: Road, Track, and Mountain Biking.
