(1980 through present) An Actors' Equity member since 1982, Bruce has appeared in over 170 stage productions, at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Clarence Brown Theatre (Knoxville, TN), Seattle Children's Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Human Race Theatre Company (Dayton, OH), Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, etc. He has played Hamlet, Lear, Prospero, Prince Hal, Lysander, Horatio, Macbeth, Romeo, Tybalt, Macduff, Laertes, Claudius, Benedick, Titus, etc. As well as Prior Walter in Angels in America, Atticus in To Kill A Mockingbird, Charlotte and all the other characters in I Am My Own Wife, the Poet and all the other characters in An Iliad, Frederik in A Little Night Music, Dan in Next to Normal, Scrooge (for 15 years) in A Christmas Carol, Henry in Lion in Winter, etc. He is a founding Resident Artist with the Human Race Theatre Company in Dayton, Ohio, and a professor of Acting and Movement (including Stage Combat) at Wright State University's Professional Actor Training Program since 1987. He is a Certified Teacher of Stage Combat with the Society of American Fight Directors.
