Khara Campbell is an actress-writer-director from Chelmsford, MA. She is the author of tragic love story, SEAHORSE, which she also adapted into the award-winning screenplay with the same name. She starred in Funny or Die's comedy web series "Lightning Dogs" which she helped develop. The series made it to number one on the Creator Leaderboard. She was selected to the Top 32 of 1500 submissions in an acting competition called 2minaudition.com. Khara wrote and starred in a short film titled "Confederacy". The script was a semi-finalist at ITVFest (now Catalyst Film Festival). She most recently shot a Proof of Concept for SEAHORSE with director Sophia Ciampaglia, who also directed her in a Western called THE RED REINA. Khara has studied acting all over the country - with the Moscow Art Theatre at ART in Boston, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, and continues to study with renowned acting teacher and author, Eric Morris. She attended LA Film School for directing, and was assistant to Director Rob Cohen (Fast and the Furious, XXX). She has been on both sides of the camera, as a director-producer for AOL and Huffington Post, filming the likes of Zendaya, Missy Elliott, Arianna Huffington, Denzel Washington, John Goodman, Will Smith and more. She has been published in the LA Times and Huffington Post. She is working to produce SEAHORSE as a major motion picture.
