In 2007, Susan was selected from over two hundred applicants to be one
of the eight women to participate in American Film institute's
Directing Workshop for Women (AFI DWW). Susan's AFI DWW short, Open
Your Eyes was her writing and directing debut. Open Your Eyes, screened
at over 75 festivals worldwide and garnered 30 awards from the likes of
the Palm Springs International Shortfest and 8 nominations, including
Best Short Film at the Milan International Film Festival in Italy. In
the fall of 2013, she completed her second directorial effort, The
Mourning Hour. Also in 2014, Susan, with her writing partner, Sydnie
Suskind, sold their first pilot script to a network and are currently
in development on a number of other TV and film projects.
