Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Alex is co-founder of the production company Cine Chacal since 2017.
He is the producer of the independent feature film Don't Go to School Tomorrow, awarded with the Silver Goddess for Best First Feature in 2023, one of the most important awards in Mexican film industry.
In collaboration with his brother Diego he is also writer and director of the feature film Jardines del Bosque, filmed in Guadalajara in 2024.
His work has been exhibited at international film festivals such as Cannes Short Film Corner, New York Latino Film Festival, Guanajuato International Film Festival and San Diego Latino Film Festival.
Alex has a degree in Marketing and Business Relations at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara and has continued its professional studies in Mexico and the United States in the Sundance Institute in addition to obtaining the Emerging Content grant Creators of NALIP (National Association of Producers Latino Independents in 2021).
