Ryan Lilienfield

With twisted sensibilities, a morbid sense of humor, and an eye for visual style, Ryan leans on his background in other visual media, such as photography, illustration, and painting, to create movies with style and substance. His eclectic taste doesn't stop at movies: he loves comics, reality TV, animation, and most genres of music. This diverse set of influences makes him a writer/director/producer who lives to blur genre lines and subvert expectations while finding personal connections to the stories he tells. His latest short film Dead Presidents premiered at Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose and took home top prize at the Sacramento International Film Festival. He also produced the short film Descension, which received a DGA Award. His feature screenplay Inheritor has received accolades from Slamdance and is on Coverfly's Red List. A recent graduate of FSUFilm's MFA program, he resides in Los Angeles.
