racing drama, Faixa Vermelha 7000 (1965), in which she starred as Holly MacGregor,
a girl who feared the speed and danger of auto racing. But in real
life, Ms. Hire was a staunch sports enthusiast and student airplane
pilot at the time the movie was completed.
