Art is the idea, no matter who pays for it or gives the assignment: a chieftain, the court, the neighbor, emperors, kings, nobility, bourgeoisie, best friends, one's own brain, art is the quick diversion of a river, the building of a bridge, a house of one's own, art is folding a piece of paper, boning a branch, exhibiting a horse, exhibiting no horse, exhibiting nothing, exhibiting oneself, speaking the poem. Art is the expression of that idea, that feeling, that thought and always arte povera, expressing it as much as possible with as few poor means as possible
