Leo Qiacheli nasceu o 19 de fevereiro de 1884 em Obuji, Kutaisi Governorate, Russian Empire [agora Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Republic of Georgia]. Morreu o 19 de dezembro de 1963 em Tbilisi, SSR da Geórgia, URSS (agora República da Geórgia).
Studied at Kharkov University (1904-1905). Was active in 1905 revolution,
was arrested. Escaped from jail in 1907. Left for Switzerland, where
studied in 1912-1917 at Geneva University. In 1917 returned to Georgia.
In 1917 published novel, Tariel Golua.
