- ASP Raj Sinha is assign with the task of bringing to justice the people who are responsible for printing and circulating fake currency notes. Raj is shocked when he learn that the leader behind this crime is none other than his childhood friend, Raghavan. When Raj confronts Raghavan this angers him and along with the help of his gang he mercilessly murder Raj's mother and his wife, Suman injuring Raj in the process. When Raj recovers from this carnage he plots to destroy Raghavan.

Suraj now calls himself Johnny and is an underworld don, who makes wax statues of people who betray him and beats up others who do not laugh at his jokes; Chandu has been adopted by a childless couple and is now a Police Inspector; Kavita is now Neeta, who has been adopted by a devious couple, who have sold her to a man named Mohan; while Geeta is a rough-and-tough woman of the streets, who makes a living through petty crime and is known to the Police. The paths of the four are fated to collide when Neeta is arrested by none other than Chandu for killing Mohan, and Geeta, when she finds out Neeta's real identity, takes it upon herself to find out who Mohan's real killer is - not knowing that this will throw her in the arms of a smuggler named Raja, as well as force her to confront Raja's boss - none other than Johnny himself.

- Widowed Dayashankar is a businessman who lives in Madras with his two school-going sons, Raj and Ashok. One day he catches Raj stealing some money from his vault, he beats him, locks him in a room, and threatens to cut off his fingers. A terrified Raj breaks the window and runs away, never to be heard of again. Ashok goes on to take over his dad's business, Superior Motors, which also has a branch in Bombay; gets married to Laxmi, and soon has son named Munna. One day Ashok must travel to Bombay to meet with Bulbul, the Branch Manager, to discuss business. Laxmi and Munna see him off. Then several days later, Ashok returns home and he is not the same loving husband and father anymore. He decides to sell the business, has nothing to do with Munna and Laxmi, and asks them to take some money, while he returns to Bombay. Laxmi and Munna follow him to Bombay, but are unable to locate him. They are befriended by a petty thief and pickpocket by the name of Raja, who lives with a young street dancer named Rani and her dad, Baba. When Baba finds out that Laxmi may be related to Raja and that Munna may be their child, he asks them to leave the house. Raja then takes them to Ashok, and to Laxmi's shock she finds her once-loving husband living with another woman, much younger and prettier, by the name of Sangita. Watch what happens when Sangita asks Laxmi to be the maidservant, and Ashok refuses to recognize his wife and child.
- Sushma believes that she is too young to get married, but her father, Lalla Banarsilal insists, and she runs away. Her adventures take her to a lonely wealthy widower with a cute daughter named Guddi; a drunken lout in a brothel; Dr. Kruparam, a psychiatrist, who admits her in his mental hospital; a dreaded bandit who has killed his tormentor, cut him into pieces and fed them to birds, and who still on a killing spree; Pandit Gorakhnath who lives a double life - as a priest and as a smuggler; a leper Dhanraj, who once was a very wealthy man, but is now shunned by everyone; a transvestite stage actor; and a hunter who saves Sushma's life by shooting dead a man-eating lion. As things spiral out of control for Sushma, there is yet one more male she has to meet, and it is this meeting that will change her life even more.
- Ajit is a poor farmer who has mortgaged his land with Zamindar Haridas. Ajit gets in the bad books of Haridas, and as a result he loses his house and property, on the very day of his sister's marriage. Ajit loses his temper and assaults Haridas, and as a result is arrested and imprisoned. His sister, Parvati, on her own now, gets molested, but is rescued in the nick of time by Haridas' son, Dr. Manohar, who eventually marries her, much to the anger of his dad. When Ajit is released from prison, he comes to Haridas' house with a sharp knife, bent on vengeance at any cost, not knowing that his sister is married in this family.
- Raja (Jeetendra) lives with his widowed sister Divya (Meena Kumari) in a small village. He is constantly being made a target by the oppressive local Zamindar and his two children, Sagar and Chanchal. The land owner's children decide to take revenge on Raja by getting Sagar married to Raja's sweetheart Neela. The Zamindar also molests Raja's sister, who kills herself. With his Neela married and his sister dead, a devastated Raja heads to the city. Once over there he attempts to put his life together, and try to forget the past. It is then he meets with another victim of the Zamindar, Bajrangi (Mehmood) and together they conceive a plan that will avenge them against their oppressors. The question is, will they succeed or will there be more victims.
- The compelling story of honest and ethical Dharamraj of Nand Gaon village, whose very name instills fear amongst wrong-doers. Ironically, the very man whose family has been administering justice for four generations, must now distance himself against his very own brother, Prakash; wife, Savitri; and daughter, Aarti, while the villagers, headed by Chaudhry and Shastri, charge him of having an illicit and extra-marital affair with a widow.

When he does inform them, they want him to divorce Kamini and get married to a girl of their choice, Raja refuses and returns back to Kamini, only to find her in the arms of her childhood friend, Sunder. Angered and hurt at this betrayal, he decides to marry the girl his parents have chosen for him - and he is due for another surprise - as the girl he is about to wed is none other than Kamini's friend, Rani. Watch what happens when a liberated, tom-boyish Rani finds out that Raja is already married, and the impact this has on everyone concerned.
- Rajendra Mehra is the only child of Rai Bahadur Kailalshnath, and studies in a school along with Nandu, Mehmood, Chatpat, Guru, and others. He decides to go on an outing with them, incurring the anger of his dad, who at first sends his servant, Dhamu, to bring him back. When Dhamu fails, he sends Mirza Usman, and when Mirza too fails to bring Rajendra home, Kailashnath himself sets out himself, but when he reaches them, he finds that the children have already left for home. Angered at his son for mixing with poor students, he decides to remove him from the school and have him taught at home - and the person he has recruited is none other than Shaktimaan Singh - a Circus Ringmaster. The question remains will Shaktimaan be able to appropriately discipline Rajendra?
