Liam was born in Wolverhampton, West Midland, England, UK to, parents, Geoff and Karen Payne. He has two older sisters, Nicola and Ruth. An exceptionally handsome and charismatic performer with a serene baritone voice, Guy Williams was born Armand Joseph Catalano (nicknamed "Armando" by his family) of Italian parentage in New York City on January 14, 1924. The elder child of an insurance broker (he had a younger sister, Valerie), he was raised in the Washington Heights area. Attending Peekskill Military Academy during his formative years, he originally broke into the entertainment field as a male fashion model. Guy subsequently joined New York's Neighborhood Playhouse, which led to such TV assignments as Studio One (1948), and he debuted in films with a featured role as the bombardier on the Enola Gay in the feature film The Beginning or the End (1947), the story about the first US-deployed atom bomb.

In 1952 he was given a screen test and signed by Universal Pictures. As tall, dark and athletic (6'3", 190 lb.) in Hollywood nearly always fits the bill, the highly photogenic Williams began paying his dues in unbilled bits in such standard movies as Back at the Front (1952), All I Desire (1953), The Golden Blade (1953) and Take Me to Town (1953). When he did manage to receive billing, he was rather benignly used: Bonzo Goes to College (1952) (sequel to Ronald Reagan's cult classic Bedtime for Bonzo (1951)), The Mississippi Gambler (1953) with Tyrone Power and The Man from the Alamo (1953) with Glenn Ford.

Guy eventually left Universal and freelanced in films, which would include a minor role as a cop in the cult horror classic I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957) starring Michael Landon, and also added scattered TV appearances (Highway Patrol (1955), The Lone Ranger (1949)) to his resumé. Nothing, however, of major significance happened until Walt Disney came into the picture. His signing at age 33 to play Don Diego de la Vega, aka Zorro (1957), thrust Guy immediately into the celebrity limelight. His dashing good looks, eloquence and charm had female hearts fluttering, while the male audiences admired his fencing dexterity and effortless ladies'-man appeal. The Disney series was so popular that certain episodes were culled together and released into two feature films: The Sign of Zorro (1958) and Zorro, the Avenger (1959).

Further propelled by Disney with his captivating role in The Prince and the Pauper: The Pauper King (1962), Guy was handed fully-bearded heroes to play in a couple of fantasy film adventures, portraying Damon in the costumer Damon and Pythias (1962) a/k/a "Damon and Pythias", and the title role in Captain Sindbad (1963), an MGM attraction. In 1964 he reunited with "Teen Werewolf" Michael Landon when he arrived on the Bonanza (1959) set to play cousin Will Cartwright for a few episodes.

The cult science fiction series Lost in Space (1965) would be Guy's last hurrah in show business. Although overshadowed extensively by the nefariously campy antics of Jonathan Harris' Dr. Smith character, Guy nevertheless provided a necessary strong anchor to the family show, which included June Lockhart as the silver-suited wife and mother of his three intergalactic offspring. Battling aliens and the forces of nature, the show's popularity went stratospheric at first. However, much like Batman (1966), it faded very quickly and ended up having a short life--three seasons.

When Guy first visited Argentina in 1973 he was quite taken by the signs of admiration and fascination the Argentines expressed for him and his signature character of "El Zorro." In turn Guy fell in love with the people and culture of Argentina. Eventually he retired, except for personal appearances, to Recoleta in the 1970s, an upscale neighborhood of Buenos Aires. He died there of a brain aneurysm at the age of 65 on April 30, 1989. Long married (since 1948) to Janice Cooper, he was survived by their two children.

Isabel Sarli was discovered by filmmaker Armando Bo and became the star of his films, starting with El trueno entre las hojas (1957) in 1956. Her nude scenes in this drama --a first in Argentinian cinema-- and their subsequent soft-porn movies were highly criticized and condemned in Argentina. In spite of censorship and persecution, she became an international star, filming in Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela, and films like Fuego (1969) and Fiebre (1971) reached the American and European markets. Although she was very funny in sex comedies like La mujer del zapatero (1965), Bo insisted in casting her in naturalistic melodramas. After his death in 1981, Isabel Sarli retired and only appeared sporadically in other directors' films.

Renée Jeanne or Maria Falconetti, born in Pantin (not in Sermano, Corsica, as many film dictionaries wrongly attest) on July 21, 1892 and died in Buenos Aires on December 12, 1946, is a French actress of theater and cinema. Joining the troupe of the Odeon theater in 1916, she made her debut in "l'Arlésienne", and played the heroines of Saint-Georges de Bouhélier "The Life of a Woman", 1919. She made a short passage at the Comédie Française (1924-1925), where she plays Rosine among others in "La Dame aux camélias" and "Lorenzaccio". His last role before a long stay in South America will be that of Andromache in "The Trojan War will not happen", Jean Giraudoux. She remains world famous for having embodied in the cinema the main role of "The Passion of Joan of Arc" by Carl Theodor Dreyer.

Eva María Duarte was born into a small poor village, Los Toldos. When she was still a child she always knew she wanted to break out and get more than the others from her life. She wanted to become an actress. At the age of 15, she seduced the singer Agustín Magaldi to take her with him on his journey to Buenos Aires, where she soon found work on stage and as a photo model. Some affairs later, she got her first film contract and starred in some minor roles. She soon realized that she hadn't a very big talent on the stage and on the screen, but that she had quite some voice talent, and started working with great success in radio shows. Because she got friends in high ranks of politics, her film career also flourished. She started dating the revolutionist 'Juan Perón' and they soon married. With the help of the military Perón took over Argentina, and Eva became something like the "queen of hearts" of the poor. She tried to make the situation better for the lots of poor people in Argentina, and she will never be forgotten by them. She was the one who kept the spirit alive, and after her tragic death in 1952 Perón was never as successful as he was with her. Some years after her death, some other regime took over the country and he had to leave Argentina.

Diego Armando Maradona is an Argentine football manager and retired professional footballer.

Maradona was the coach of Argentine Primera División club Gimnasia de La Plata. He is regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time. He was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award. His presence and leadership on the field had a great effect on his team's general performance, while he would often be singled out by the opposition.

In his international career with Argentina National Football Team, he earned 91 caps and scored 34 goals. Maradona played in four FIFA World Cups, including the 1986 FIFA World Cup Mexico (1986) where he captained Argentina and led them to victory over West Germany National Football Team in the final, and won the Golden Ball as the tournament's best player. In the 1986 FIFA World Cup Mexico (1986) quarterfinal, he scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over England National Football Team that entered football history for two different reasons. The first goal was an unpenalized handling foul known as the 'Hand of God', while the second goal followed a 60 m (66 yd) dribble past five England players, voted 'Goal of the Century' by FIFA.com voters in 2002.

Maradona became coach of Argentina National Football Team in November 2008. He was in charge of the team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa (2010) in South Africa before leaving at the end of the tournament.

Sultry, sleepy-eyed Argentine brunette Mona Maris was born Rosa Emma Mona Maria Marta Capdevielle, of Spanish-French parentage. Her well-to-do background ensured a quality education with an emphasis on foreign languages. Mona mastered three of them, but, alas, English was not among them. This mattered little early on, as her career began in silent films in 1925, first in England and France, then with Universum AG in Germany. Moving to the U.S. in 1929, she was signed by Fox to co-star opposite Warner Baxter in two above-average westerns: Romance of the Rio Grande (1929) and the The Arizona Kid (1930) (in which she was rather overshadowed by a young Carole Lombard). In fairness, neither film gave her much to do, except be ornamental. In 'Arizona Kid', she was also unwisely permitted to sing, which was not her forte. Combined with her rather strained command of English, it was somewhat inevitable that she would find herself relegated to acting in a string of Spanish-language versions of American films.

Mona Maris is remembered today less for her sojourn in Hollywood, than for her on-screen chemistry with legendary singer Carlos Gardel in the musical drama Cuesta abajo (1934). Filmed in Argentina, it co-starred Mona as a femme fatale and proved to be her defining screen role. She auditioned for the part via telephone from the Paramount lot (having just completed shooting of Kiss and Make-Up (1934)) for French-born director Louis J. Gasnier, winning out over fellow candidates Raquel Torres and Rosita Montenegro. "Cuesta abajo" was well-received upon its release in the U.S., becoming the most successful Spanish-language film up to that time. Following Gardel's untimely death in 1935, Mona absented herself from the screen for six years.

She returned to Hollywood again in the early 40's, free-lancing for most of the majors, in films like The Falcon in Mexico (1944) and Tampico (1944). Even though, her English was now fluent, she remained mostly typecast as south-of-the-border senoritas. After an uncredited bit in the Bob Hope comedy Monsieur Beaucaire (1946), her career wound down with a third-billed part in a third rate swashbuckler for Republic, The Avengers (1950). Shortly after that, she called it a day and in 1960 retired to Lima, Peru, with her second husband, Dutch millionaire Herman Rick.

Zulema Esther Gonzalez Borbon was born in Buenos Aires on October 17, 1920. She began working as a model when she was in her teens and, at the same time, she became an extra in cheap movies. She was given more important roles in a modest studio called EFA-Establecimientos Filmadores Argentinos, but then, all of a sudden and thanks to her role in Stella (1943), she reached stardom. A beautiful, tall blonde, her talent was very limited but people did not want to see her acting. They paid their tickets to see that image. She began a relationship with director Luis César Amadori in 1941 and became one of the stars of Argentina Sono Film. After the huge success of God Bless You (1948) (aka God Reward You), star and director got married and both became co-owners of Sono Film. Mr. and Mrs. Amadori enjoyed a happy time under the first two Peron governments. They made movies in Mexico in the 1950s, but after the 1955 coup, they left Argentina and flew to Spain. Both went on working there. Moreno excelled in a movie called La noche y el alba (1958) (aka The Night and the Dawn) and showed she had learned her craft. Unfortunately, she decided to quit cinema when she was 40 years old.

In 1965, she was offered a part in an Italian-Argentine co-production starring Vittorio Gassman, but she did not bother to answer. In the 1970s, the couple returned to Argentina -- both were owners of the Maipo theater. In 1977, Mr. Amadori died, and she became sort of a recluse. Director 'Maria Luisa Bemberg' and producer Lita Stantic offered her a role in Camila (1984), but she turned it down. She died in Buenos Aires in 1999 and is still remembered as the symbol of an era.

Olga Adela Zubarriain was born in Buenos Aires on October 30th 1929. She began her career in the old Lumiton studios in 1943 as a bit player in Safo (Carlos Hugo Christensen-1943). Her real chance when the studio prepared an adaptation of the novel Frau Elsie by Arthur Schnitzler which was called The Naked Angel. She was chosen by director Christensen and by script writer César Tiempo. The film was released in 1946 and was a tremendous success because it was the first time an Argentine actress dared to appear half naked in a film. There was no problem with censorship. From the on Zubarry worked for Lumiton up to 1950 when she began to free lance. She's today considered as one of the most important actresses of the old studios and her role in The Thirst aka Man's Son (Lucas Demare-1961) deserved the Best Actress Prize at the Spanish San Sebastian Festival. In 1960 she married Dr. Juan Carlos Garate and gave priority to her marriage and her two daughters. However, even when she became more and more active on TV, she has at least one memorable role in Invasion by Hugo Santiago. She decided to leave her career in 1997 after Souls' Square. At present she has three grandchildren and is living happily married.

Lead singer of Soda Stereo, band from Argentina. One of the most important South American rock bands that started in 1982 and said goodbye with a last concert in 1997. He began with a very successful solo career in 1992. An excellent song writer, composer and actor. He composed music for two movies, Más bien (2001), and _Sólo por hoy (2000)_, also acting in the former (playing Jorge). Performed with Soda Stereo at one of the MTV Unplugged sessions in 1996. The resultant album was called "Comfort y música para volar". Soda Stereo's last concert is also available as a CD, it's called "El Ultimo Concierto" (1997).
