Straight-backed, robust-looking American character actor, frequently cast (according to his own website) as the "stern authority figure type". Damroth was born in the Bronx, one of four children from the New York Foundling Hospital, adopted by a former Marine and Korean War veteran and his wife. Following in his adoptive father's footsteps, he joined the Marine Corps. After military service, he became active in the corporate sector, at one time as CEO of a charity in aid of underprivileged children.
As a youth, Damroth had enthusiastically performed in school plays and community theatre. Though belatedly, upon leaving the corporate sector, he made the decision to become a professional actor. He enrolled in drama classes at the Adler School and eventually became a member of SAG-Aftra. Very much a late-bloomer, Damroth made his first screen appearance on episodic television (as a Homicide Detective) at the age of 48. Having found his niche, the self-described "tough-nosed, kind of guy" used his military bearing to good effect in portraying officers, judges and CIA agents in series like Blindspot (2015) and The Blacklist (2013). Damroth also featured in commercials and educational training videos and sidelined as a motivational speaker. He had leading roles in several short films, including Losing The Edge and The Power of Knowing (2013). Damroth was latterly a co-founder and CEO of Lightning Star Entertainment Group.- Ted Kozlosky was born on 23 September 1951 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, USA.
