Born and raised in Regina Saskatchewan, Kent Nolan was an actor and filmmaker. Kent began acting in musical theatre, studying drama, dance and voice when he was just five years old, and eventually moved into film by age twelve. At sixteen Kent wrote and directed his first award winning short film entitled "Presage", leading to a new-found love for film-making. After he graduated high school, Kent moved to Toronto to train in classical acting at the prestigious George Brown Theatre School.
Having appeared in over forty theatre productions, Kent was also featured in over twenty films and television series. He has noted some of his career highlights include working with Academy Award nominated filmmaker, Terry Gilliam, John N. Smith, Jennifer Lynch, as well as starring in the feature Stage Fright by Sundance award winner, Jerome Sable.
At the time of his death Kent had been hard at work developing his debut feature as a writer/director.- Writer

Husband and wife writing team Pip and Jane Baker have enjoyed an extensive career as novelists, playwrights and film and television writers since the early sixties. The first film they worked on was "The Alibi" (1961) and from there they wrote episodes of a British-based American series called "The Pursuers" (1961-62). Other films they worked on included "The Break" (1962), "The Painted Smile", (1962) "Night of the Big Heat," (1967) and "Captain Nemo and the Underwater City" (1970). On television they have written for "The Expert" (1976), "Z Cars, Detective" (1968) and "Space: 1999 (1976) as well as three stories for DOCTOR WHO. Rashi Fein began his service to the United States during World War II, in the US Navy. He spent much of his time after that thinking and writing about health care reform.
He was a member of the Truman Commission on the Health Care Needs of the Nation, which as early as 1952 had supported national health insurance and regionalization of health care delivery. Later, he served on President Kennedy's Council of Economic Advisors as a senior staff member. There, he helped to develop the initial legislation for Medicare, a healthcare model he continued to advocate throughout his life. Professor Fein had also served on the Board of the Committee for National Health Insurance under the leadership of former UAW President Doug Fraser and under Walter Reuther on a Board investigating malnutrition in the United States. He was a charter member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM), had received numerous honors for service in medical economcis, and sat on boards of a number of not-for-profit health care institutions. He had authored nine books, the most recent of which was Lessons Learned: Medicine, Economics and Public Policy, published in November 2009.
