- Sarah T. Schwab's independent film production company, Cardinal Flix, is in production for two narrative features: "Recluse" (psychological thriller) that she wrote and will direct, and "The Batting Cage" (drama comedy) written by Joan Ackermann ("Arli$$") and directed by Karen Allen ("Raiders of the Lost Ark").
She completed principal photography for her third feature in 2023 that she co-wrote and directed, "Crybaby Bridge," starring two-time Emmy nominated actress Sydney Mikayla ("General Hospital") and Erik King ("Dexter"). She is now in conversations with distributors.
Sarah's second feature that she wrote and directed in 2022, "A Stage of Twilight," stars Karen Allen and William Sadler ("The Shawshank Redemption"). She World Premiered at Woods Hole Film Festival, coming away with Karen and William winning Best Performance in a Feature Film, and me as Best Emerging Director. The film also won Best Actor (William Sadler) at Rhode Island International Film Festival, Best Narrative Feature at Mystic Film Festival, the Filmmaker Award presented by Cinelease at the Sonoma International Film Festival, among others. It has distribution through Buffalo 8 and can be found streaming on all major cable and VOD platforms.
In August 2020, Sarah locked a feature she directed and co-wrote called "Life After You," starring Florencia Lozano ("Narcos") and Kathryn Erbe ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent"). She won Best Director of a Feature Film at the Madrid International Film Festival, Best Feature Film and Best Lead Actress (Florencia Lozano) at the Nice International Film Festival, and Special Jury Remi for a First Feature and Best Lead Actress (Florencia Lozano) at WorldFest-Houston. The film has distribution through Freestyle Digital Media and can be found streaming on all major cable and VOD platforms.
