Blues recording artist and actor Jeff Chaz started life in Creole,Louisiana in Cameron, Parish where the iceman delivered a block of ice for the icebox, and his physician father would tend to the care of his largely Cajun and Creole French speaking patients, traveling often into rural areas by pirogue, a type of stick propelled canoe.
From listening to his father's old Big Band era and dixieland music Jeff got inspired to make music his life, traveling the US and Canada performing, finally ending up in Memphis, Tennessee where he stayed 10 years specifically to learn about the Blues and Roots music styles firsthand.
While there, he performed with many greats like Little Milton and toured with legends Albert King and Jerry Lee Lewis. But as Jeff puts it, "The Louisiana dirt was calling me", and with the encouragement of the late legendary music attorney Ellis Pailet, Jeff made the move to New Orleans where he met movie producer, Steve Lowry, who enlisted him to act in Ride Hard: Live Free staring Emilio Rivera. Jeff has been acting ever since.
