Federico Ielapi's first appearance in the cinema industry was at the early age of 4, in the production "Quo Vado", written by Checco Zalone and directed by Gennaro Nunziante. Later, in 2017, he acted in different tv series, such as "Squadra Mobile 2" (directed by Alexis Sweet), "Provaci Ancora Prof 7" (directed by L. Gasparini) and commercials (Italo Treno). One year later, he had his first leading role in the well known Italian tv series "Don Matteo 11", starring Terence Hill and directed by J. Michelini, R. Androsiglio, A. Sweet. In the same year, he participated to the short movie "Roba da Grandi" directed by Rolando Ravello, produced by Rai and starring the Italian famous singer Fiorella Mannoia. He also worked on the film "I moschettieri del Re", directed by Giovanni Veronesi and produced by Indiana Production. In 2019 he played the role of the young Nikola Tesla, for which he needed to act in Croatian language, in the VR film "Nikola Tesla, the man from the future", starring Ross McCall and Sean Buchanan , directed by A. Parrello, produced by West 46th Films. During the same year he joins the cast of "Maledetta Primavera", directed by Elisa Amoruso; the comedy "Brave Ragazze" directed by Michela Andreozzi and "Pinocchio", directed by the most awarded Italian director Matteo Garrone. In this occasion Federico played the leading role of Pinocchio, for which he won the "Silver Ribbon Award" Special Mention G. Biraghi from the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists. Thanks to this movie, an Italian French and UK co- production, Federico had the privilege to work with the Oscar Winning Roberto Benigni and started being known as a young talented actor all over the world. Pinocchio was also nominated for several Italian and International awards, such as the Oscars, David di Donatello, Los Angeles Italian Film Festival, Silver Ribbons, EFA Young Awards. For the American distribution of Pinocchio (by Roadside Attractions), Federico dubbed his own role in the English language. In 2020 he starred as the leading actor in the tv series "Chiamami Ancora Amore", for Rai 1, directed by G. Maria Tavarelli, produced by Indigo Film. The same year he joined the production "Tutti per uno- uno per tutti" playing the critical role of "Uno", together with the awarded actor Pierfrancesco Favino. In 2021 Federico took part to the short movie "Reimagine" (directed by G. Mangiasciutti and produced by Novartis - One More Pictures) through which he have sensitized the audience on the importance of the scientific research in treating tumors. Recently, he had the privilege to be directed by Gabriele Muccino (known for "The Pursuit of Happiness" and "Seven Pounds") in the tv series "A Casa Tutti Bene", produced by Lotus Production and Sky Original.
