Cigdem Aksut, born in 1984 in Malatya, is a Turkish serial, cinema and theater actress.
After graduating from theatre department of Yeditepe University, she attended Eugenio Barba and Julia Varley workshop. She took on-camera acting lessons from TAL, International Altenburg-Gera theatre and Tiyatro Medresesi.
In 2013, she appeared "The Cut" cinema movie directed by Fatih Akin. In 2014, she played in the play "Women of Troy" at the Theater & Philharmonie Thuringia in Germany. In the 2016-2017 season, she appeared in Versus Theater in "Kanli Dugun", "Bu Yasta Hala Saklanarak Sigara Iciyorum" and "Woyzeck". She won the best actress awards in the Formosa International Film Festival (Taiwan) & Redline International Film Festival (Toronto, Canada) with performance of "Abiye/The Embroidered Dress" short movie. She has also been nominated for the best actress award in The Los Angeles Hollywood Hills Film Festival.
